Palms Casino

The Palms was rated as having the loosest slots in Vegas. My aunt and uncle kept playing slots in the casinos we visited. I told them that if they really wanted to play slots, they should go where all the Vegas residents go—the Palms.

Everywhere else we had played, the most the slot machine had paid out was about $20. This was playing the quarter slots. My uncle tried out the dollar slot machine, and by mistake, punched in the max button. His payout was $115. Of course, that's after putting in about $200 into the slots. I guess it could have been worse.

Gambling at the Palms

Both poker rooms were kind of small and very full while I was there. Slots were good and up-to-date, with all the new toys. The casino area is actually small compared to others I've seen, as far as gambling areas go, but it helps to increase the impression that it's busy in there, when it actually is. There's a nice little 24-hour cafe there; service was mediocre, but a good-quality $1.99 breakfast at 11pm is hard to beat. The Ghost Bar there is ultra-trendy and a place to go if you're star-hunting.
