Description
The Palazzo Vizzani-Lambertini-Sanguinetti was probably built by Bartolomeo Triachini in 1599, and was commissioned by the Vizzani family.
The imposing façade presents a portico with doric columns.
During the construction of the building, the Vizzani family had the adjacent S. Biagio cemetery closed, and in 1563 they founded the Accademia degli Oziosi which had its seat within the walls of their residence. In 1735 the palazzo was bought by Cardinal Prospero Lambertini. The rooms inside the building are decorated with frescoes by Basoli, Sabbatici, Bibena, Giani, Ribaldi, and Laureti.
