Description
Begun in 1679 on the design of Guarino Guarini, the imposing brick building was completed in 1687 by Michelangelo Garove (with the exception of the side facing the square behind).
Originally the College of the Nobles, the building was to be connected to Piazza Castello directly by a system of tunnels and covered passages that were never built.
Today the building is the home of the Egyptian Museum, the Academy of Sciences and the Savoy Art Gallery.
