Description
This is the island's premier cultural festival. It honors Puerto Rican cellist, composer, conductor and pianist, Pablo Casals. Recognized as the greatest 20th-century master of the cello, he founded the event in 1957. Internationally known artists such as Leonard Bernstein, Arthur Rubinstein, Mstislav Rostropóvich, Andrés Segovia, J.P. Rampal and Zubin Mehta have performed at this extravaganza as well as other local talent held in high esteem. Ticket prices range from USD20 to USD40.
