Description: Old Town is like going back in time to the ‘50s, ‘60s, and early ‘70s. On Friday and Saturday nights, it is like the huge "cruise-ins" that used to happen at the local diners. There are hundreds of beautiful cars from stock all the way up to street rods that are fully decked out. The parade through town is a "must see" as you can see such a variety of cars from Fords, to Chevys, to Dodges, etc., and then throw in some exotic foreign cars just for fun.
The shops and restaurants in this place are also themed, or a lot of them are anyhow. It was a wonderful night, just wish we could have stayed longer. Our son enjoyed the rides and the games that he got to play. It was fun for the whole family.
They have the cruise in on Friday and Saturday nights every weekend. It is well worth the time. Get there early or parking is a hard thing to find. On the other days and nights it is still a neat place to go. They have a lot of activities for the kids to enjoy without the "cruise in." They have go-carts that the kids and adults can ride, and they have a large slingshot swing that is supposedly one of the largest in the state or country or something like that. They also have a bungee seat that two people can get in and sit and they take you up real high and then drop you and it is like a bungee jump. Another thing for the kids is a trampoline with bungee cords so they can jump on the trampoline and the cords will pull them up higher to allow them to do more flips and turns and things.
There are also several carnival-type games. We played in the water pistol race game where you shoot water into the mouth of a clown with a water pistol and the one that fills their tube first wins. They also had other carnival games. There was also a rock-climbing wall that the kids could do, and if you go during the day, there are boats that you can rent to go out on the little pond\lake they have there. Kids can rent them and so can adults I do believe. They also have a miniature golf course. It really is a fun place to go any day of the week. The food was good - they had pizza, they had a McDonald's that was designed with an older-style interior. They had ice cream shops and a Gyro place and several other places. A lot of the shops and candy places close around 7 or so, so you might want to get there early to enjoy those places. It was a wonderful time and next time we will go for a longer visit.
