Description
The most interesting part of the library is the building in which it is housed. This fine example of mostly untouched French colonial architecture is screened by a row of fragrant frangipani trees.
The meager collection of books inside barely fills two small rooms and comprises titles in Lao, French, English, Vietnamese and Russian--a sad mixture of dated technical tomes and tired novels along with a few dusty encyclopedias and dictionaries. Books can only be read on the premises.
