Description
The Nachum Gutman Museum is located in what is considered Tel Aviv's first Jewish neighbourhood, Neve Tzedek.
Writer/ artist/ illustrator Nachum Gutman was a central figure in the neighbourhood and contributed greatly to its bohemian reputation.
The museum is in a handsome, modern Bauhaus building. Downstairs is a pictorial biography of Gutman's life. Here there are also paintings and drawings of his and those of his contemporaries, especially Reueven Ruben.
Upstairs are exhibits for children, including interactive computer activites and drawing desks (the accompanying material is only in Hebrew).
There is also a pictorial history of the Neve Tzedek neighbourhood.
Admission is free.
