The building of Moore College is very modern, it has interesting modern furniture and lighting, and it has a lot of windows and light. This month they have an exposition of Mary Cassatt, Alice Neel, and Karen Kilimnik. This is a very intersting exposition, about 45 paintings, 11 of which are Mary Cassatt. They are small paintings, about 20" x 22", but you can see them in all the catalogs. This exposition brings an interesting perspective to the evolution of women painters and their topics. Alice Neel last year had a large exposition at the Philadelphia Art Museum, so this is a very small part of her paintings. Karen Kilimnik has a very different vision of women and her paintings have this almost magic quality about them, she loves to draw ballet dancers much like the impressionists.
