Description
This monuments stands on a beautiful marble base with a bas-relief depicting the battles for independence. It was created by the Italian sculptor Adan Tadolini. Here, you'll be able to admire Bolivar mounted on his graceful horse. This is one of the most beautiful figures in the history of equestrian statuary to date.
It was erected in 1859 and is an exact replica of the bronze monument found in Caracas, Venezuela.
