Description
This monument was built in 1914 in honour of the expert naturalist, Antonio Raymondi, in recognition of his great scientific investigation in the Peruvian territory. It highlights the serious attitude of the scientist who uses a magnifying glass to study a piece of mineral rock.
It was presented by the Italian residents of Peru and is the work of the sculptor Tancredi Pozzi, of Turin.
