This British department store chain has locations throughout the country and has been in existence for many years. They feature family fashions that are moderately priced and although a bit conservative, the quality of their own St. Michael's brand is excellent. I bought a rain coat over 10 years ago and it's still in good shape. There is a good selection of women's lingerie as well as clothing for the whole family.

My favourite part of the store is their food section and I often buy many of my gifts for home here. They offer a wide selection of British biscuits, crisps (similar to potato chips)in a wide array of flavours including prawn and curry, chocolate bars and other candies, jams, jellies, chutneys and tinned goods. Take home a tin of chicken and curry flavoured mulligatawny soup or Scotch broth made with lamb and veggies. There is a large freezer sections with prepackaged meals, desserts, sausages, etc. if you have facilities to do your own cooking.
