Lotte World is a huge place built indoors and outdoors. So even if you go there in the cold wintertime, you can have a great time. I am not sure how much the entrance fee is now, but it was not expensive, thinking of the quality time that you would have. It is located right next to subway station, which is Jamsil Station, so it is very easy to get there.

Before going to Lotte World you need to ask yourself which you enjoy more, high-octane roller-coaster rides or standing in interminably long and immensely dull lines for hours on end. If it is the former, be prepared for a frustrating day, if it is the latter well you are in for a treat.Built at the heart of one of the world's biggest and most crowded cities, it is perhaps no surprise that it is rare to stroll around Lotte World in comfort. I went twice and despite offering a thumbs up to almost every ride I tried, both visits were ultimately frustrating experiences. My first trip was in the fall when it was still warm enough to make queueing outside a boring, but tolerable experience. Consequently after nearly 4 hours of waiting I took a spin and fall on the Giro-Drop and a whizz on a couple of the outdoor roller-coasters. I then moved inside to enjoy the French Revolution. The beauty of that ride is that it is supremely fast. Not only does that make it thrilling, but it also means the queue moves a lot faster and waiting times are reduced to just under an hour.My second visit, unfortunately, was an almost complete failure. I did manage a go on the Revolution, but as it was six or seven degrees below zero, there was no way any of my friends or I were waiting outside for 2 hours. This left us inside for much of the day taking some of the lesser rides, and playing video games for much of the day.

Lotte World

Lotte world is arguably the largest complex in Korea with an indoor theme park, an outdoor park by a lake, two department stores, a wedding hall complex, a hotel, a tax-free shop, sports facilities, and a folk village.

For first-timers, take the monorail located on the second floor first to get your bearings. The monorail spans both indoors and outdoors.

For an aerial view of the indoor theme park, take a "balloon ride" situated on the third floor.

Lotte world is more exciting and thrilling compared to Everland (also closer to the city). A great place to spend a day with the family.

Opening hours:
Adventure, Magic Island: 9:30am-11pm
Folk Museum : 9:30am-11pm

How to get there: Take the Subway Line 2, 8 -Chamshil

This is a Disney World wannabe but the Koreans do a good job even though it's on a somewhat smaller scale. Magic Island is located in the middle of Lake Sokchon and is complete with Disney style castle and various rides. There is live entertainment. Theme parks are divided into Magic castle, German village, French village, English village, Swiss village and Korean village. The French Revolution has 360 to 540 degree revolutions. I'm not a big amusement park rider but the family enjoyed it. The subway system has a stop here so you never have to leave the building.

If you are with Kids, try to visit Lotte World. It has a amusement park and it is regarded as the best one in Seoul. It has famous Vikings, roller coasters, and many many others. Also it as many reataurants where you can eat.

It also has a little museum where you can have a look of old Korean way of life. It has a wonderful miniatures of Korean traditional buildings and palaces, too.
