Description
A Southern California standard since the 1920s, the county fair explodes every September with dozens of carnival rides and plenty of live entertainment. Among the more traditional fare are horse racing, livestock demonstrations and a variety of exhibits featuring everything from flowers to quartz. The live acts are far better than most county fairs; recent years have included Weird Al Yankovic, Violent Femmes and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, as well as legends like The Four Tops and the Isley Brothers.
