At sunset, if you take a ride up Airport Road, you will be pleasantly surprised. Not only is the view spectacular, but, to our surprise, there was a family of American Indians selling handmade jewelry. The grandmother, mother, father, daughter, and son had all learned the beautiful craft of making necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, which had been passed from generation to generation. If you want to save a bundle of money over the local stores, the native art is best purchased there. You can buy the Aztec calendar in silver in a beautiful necklace with silver beads, turquoise jewelry, and everything imaginable. Prices ranged from 3 for $10 and up. If you want some beautiful jewelry or if you want to buy some gifts for someone special and also view the most spectacular sunset ever seen, this is the place to go!

This store is within walking distance from our resort and is a must stop. A little bit of everything is under one roof and all made by Native American artists. Prices were great on some pottery and turquoise jewelry. Some days they have different artists in, so you can watch them in action. I don't recommend having the store ship for you as it was too expensive. The post office is only two doors down and is much cheaper.
