As a matter of status, most Khmers prefer to wear gold rather than silver. The result of this is that Kira Madhura, with its range of silver jewelry, is something of a rarity in Phnom Penh. Under the direction of Kim Sun, designer and proprietor, this elegant boutique has assembled a range of fine handmade jewelry with a focus on silver and semi-precious stones. Though some of the items here are imported, more than half are made or assembled locally. Prices are above those you will find in the markets, but so is the quality.
