ATV Mud bog Trip

  • February 2, 2003
  • Rated 2 of 5 by dmsilver from Sherman Oaks, California
This is a 5-hour trip in which you ride on ATVs for 22 miles on the 22,000-acre property of Steve Case (of AOL). The salespeople and the brochure promise that by the end of the trip you will be covered in mud. That and the picture of the waterfall on the brochure are what draw you to this tour. It looked much bigger in the brochure, and the people who were pictured covered in mud must have fallen in a puddle, because I got barely dirty on the entire trip. Halfway into the trip, there is a chance to jump off the waterfall, and that was fun. You also get lunch as well. The best part, however, was at the end of the ride--to make up for the lack of mud, the company has a huge mud bog that they let you ride through with a special ATV with no mud flaps. That was pretty cool. The price of $150 per person is a bit steep, but my wife, who had never been on an ATV, loved it.
