Description
Despite some rather chilly days and persistent spring rains, this festival has become one of the most popular annual events in Istanbul. Approximately 160 international films are shown each year at five cinemas over 15 days. Most of the cinemas are in Beyoglu, with one in Kadikoy on the Asian Shore hosting the event. This 20-year-old festival started out with very modest ambitions and has become one of the most attended film festivals in Europe in recent years.
