Patscherkofl and Igls

  • October 31, 2000

Take the bus from the R.R. station to Igls, a lovely sleepy little village much in favor by skiers. The town is located on a plateau and can be walked very easily. If you get an address to look someone up, expect trouble. The house numbers go every which way since they reflect the time the house was built not where it is located.. From here, take the cable car to near the top of the Patscherkofl which rises to about 6000 foot. The views here are nothing but spectacular. You look north at the whole Karwendelalp and up and down the Inn valley. It was here Andreas Hofer amd his men fought Napoleon's army.
