Opening times:- early March to early November; House 1100-1600, grounds 1000-1630.
Disabled friendly.
The grounds were designed by 'Capability' Brown in the 18th century and include a boating lake and an exotic dell.
The Bird Garden is extensive and includes many rare and threatened species.
The House itself was built in the 18th century, part being designed by Robert Adam.
Chippendale was commissioned to provide the furniture.
The estate has been owned throughout by the Lascelles family, the present Earl of Harewood being cousin to the Queen on his mother's side.
