Atmospheric Museum with Loads of Art

This is one of the most interesting places in Kolkata. At this museum, you can view beautiful masterpiecess by artists like Titian and Rubins as well as see a collection of oddly placed Victorian bric-a-brac. The museum was constructed in 1853 and is very atmospheric. Considering the priceless art that it contains, you might be surprised at how cluttered and almost unorganized it feels. Still, wandering around in it kind of gives youthe feeling of exploring a crazy great-aunt's mansion. This is definitely a great place to spend the afternoon, but take your time because the interesting things might not jump right out at you.

Tip: You have to have a permission note from either the India Tourism or West Bengal Tourism.
