I Heart Retro

So if you're just joining us on our Channelside review, please make sure to start with the first part in this series titled "A Sweet Start to the Day!".

After we drooling over everything at Qachbal's, we made our way to Splitsville. Splitsville's current tagline is "Luxury Lanes and Dinner Lounge", but I just would call it a "hoity toity bowling alley". I like retro stuff, I like luxury and I live bowling...so you would think I would be in heaven here! It was cool, but I don't like plunking down $40.00++ to bowl.

I guess that if I was a 20 or 30 something living in a waterfront condo in Tampa with quite a bit of a disposable income and I got together with friends and drank and partied on the weekends... Splitsville might be cool. But I don't, so it wasn't "that" cool for me. If it was cheaper it would have been cooler. Are you following me here?

I mean, I enjoyed myself, but for what we paid there - I definitely wouldn't go back. So my overall review is...it's cool, worth stopping in even if you just look around or grab a drink at the bar...but really, how many "luxury bowling alleys" are there? Just suck it up and pay the bill and go ahead and bowl a couple games!
