Even though this attraction is listed as a museum, it isn't as it is still a functioning school on the island of Jamaica, and labeled one of the best there is. As the oldest school in the English speaking Caribbean, Wolmer's was founded in 1729 by John Wolmer and his slave. Back then, it was a school only for the whites, but today, history has shown how far we have come as a country with students from all walks of life attending. Not only excelling in academics, but extra-curricular activites as well, these group of schools are said to be well-rounded. Schools include Wolmer's Girls School, Wolmer's Boys School and Wolmer's Preparatory School.
