Whether staying on the island or visiting by cruise ship a day on the Sand Dollar Catamaran with Capt Tony is a sure bet. Our group of 20 (14 adults 6 kids) got off the ship, hopped in a shuttle ($5 each way) and in 15 minutes was dropped off at the Port Lucaya Resort lobby beside the Marketplace. Capt Tony was waiting and led us to his beautiful catamaran. Even our large group had plenty of room for both sun and shade and the large catamaran sailed comfortably and smoothly. We were quickly at the snorkeling area and once in the water, we were surrounded by beautiful fish and at one point a pod of dolphins came and checked us out, very cool indeed. When we all had our fill of snorkeling on the reef, we pulled anchor and sailed closer to shore where we searched for Sand Dollars just off a beautiful sandy beach. When it was time to return, up went the sails and we were off. Rum punch flowed freely and snacks and sodas were available for the wee ones. It is an awesome feeling lying on the nets of the big catamaran slicing swiftly and quietly through the waves. Arriving back at the dock we wanted our 3 hour tour to last longer but our ship was calling. Capt Tony and his crew were wonderful and always kept a watchful eye over everyone especially while in the water. Easy, comfortable, exciting and economical, what more could you ask for.
Thank you Capt Tony we will be back to see you again.
