Super Fun Spring Break Activity

This is the best thing we did in Destin over spring break. We had a big group of people that all wanted to do something really fun together so we went parasailing. Each of us paired up and went up in the air together while the others stayed on the boat. The boat had room for everyone so we all went at the same time which was so cool. Take a camera for sure, you will get some great pictures!

The Best Attraction in Destin Florida

A couple of friends and I were in Destin Florida the first weekend in March for a conference. After a long morning of meetings and attending to business matters we were all eager to get out and enjoy that saturday's 72 degrees of sunshine. We were just finishing lunch at the "Back Porch", a cute restaurant overlooking the Gulf and saw a boat pass by pulling a parasailer through the air. That was it, we were sold! After getting a recommendation from a local waitress we headed over to Just Chute Me Parasailing. They were a little hard to find but they are behind a seafood restuarant known as the Marina Cafe. We found their booth at the bottom of the stairs and after signing a page or two of legal stuff, we ventured down the dock to the parasail boat. They offered us 3 different lengths of line to pick from. We all chose 800 feet! Why not? Go big or go home as they say. We had a very informative safety briefing on the way to the ocean and of course we all had butterflies in our stomachs. After a nice cruise out of the harbor we were ready to fly. What a piece of cake! We just walked up to the back of the boat, sat down on our butt, and off we went. It was truly amazing. It was so quiet and peaceful. We were hooked! The view was incredible and you can even see to the bay. Landing was just as easy- right back down on the boat's deck. What a great way to spend a day.
