Our guide, Mossimo, was absolutely fantastic! He was so passionate about the sites and artifacts throughout the Vatican City. We really learned a lot and felt like we got more than we bargained for. We would definitely recommend Eden Walks Tours to anyone who was interested.

Our tour to the Vatican City with Massimo, our guide, was surprisingly enjoyable. Unlike some tours that drop you off on site to wander, Massimo was with us every step of the way. Using his in-depth knowledge of history and art, he educated us so we can appreciate the art on a different level. This is something we never would have gotten by walking through the museum ourselves. I highly recommend Eden Walks to anyone who is planning to go visit the Vatican City.

we had a very very knowledgeable tour guide, obviously a religious history scholar specializing in the Vatican. It was worth every cent, despite costing more than most of the tours advertised. We booked in the US and were very glad that we did ahead of time. It is too confusing once one arrives in Rome!
Directions to meet the tour were perfect, and it was the highlight of our European tour.

The Best Way To See The Vatican Museum

My wife and I recently tooured the Vaican Museum with Max as our guide through Eden Walks. Max was an outstanding professional guide who greatly enhanced our visit. He was the best. The tour was everything promised and more. I'd recommend the tour to anyone. The Vatican Museum is a true world class museum, not just one of a bunch of "Catholic stuff" or restricted to religious art, as some might expect. Anyone of any faith, or of none, would enjoy the tour.
I had been to Rome twice before and had never seen the Sistine Chapel, even though I tried. The first time, the line was so long, it was hopeless. The second time as I got nearer to the Museum, I didn't see any crowds, so I thought that was a good sign. It wasn't. They were closed for some renovation. So this time, I wanted to be sure to get in and saw that "Eden Tours" was highly rated on "Trip Advisor" so I set up the tour before we left. I'm glad I did.

Grant from Eden Walks was Great

During a recent trip to Rome, my wife and I were waiting in the enormous queue for St. Peters cathedral in the Vatican, when we were approached by a guy who introduced us to the idea of joining a tour group for 25 Euros a piece and skipping the line. Given that it appeared we were going to be in line for quite some time, we took him up on this offer figuring our time was worth the extra 50 Euros. Having experienced a relatively poor group tour of the Coliseum we really expected to pay this fee, skip the line, and then enjoy the cathedral and museum ourselves. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the fact that the tour guy, Grant, was one of the best tour guides they could have possibly had at the Vatican. He seemed to know so much about the Vatican, and it was easy to tell that he truly knew the material through personal education and research and wasn’t just repeating a script that was given to him by the tour guide company. Not only did he provide solid historical background information about a lot of the items on display at the Vatican museum, he was able to maneuver us around the museum in a way that allowed us to see the major attractions, without being overwhelmed with the immense amount of articles on display. Throughout the tour, Grant would make us laugh with humorous stories, such as pointing out a statue that looked like a young Bill Clinton, test us by throwing out events that couldn’t have possibly occurred in the order he stated just to make sure we were paying attention, and entertain us with interesting stories regarding the Vatican’s past. All of this added immensely to the value of the tour. My wife and I believe that we would have walked away without near the appreciation of the Vatican, had it not been for Grant and his tour. We found out at the end of the tour that Grant worked for Eden Walks tour company. If Eden Walks employees tour guides of Grant’s caliber, I would highly recommend them, and I can personally say that if you can get into one of Grant’s tours, you will be in for a treat.
