The Princess Louisa Inlet is 30 nautical miles from Egmont, British Columbia. This distance is given in nautical miles because that's how one gets there -- by boat. The boat leaves at 10:30 A.M. and takes about two hours to get to the inlet. ...

The Princess Louisa Inlet is 30 nautical miles from Egmont, British Columbia. This distance is given in nautical miles because that's how one gets there -- by boat. The boat leaves at 10:30 A.M. and takes about two hours to get to the inlet. Traveling through the inlet is another 30 minutes. Then a little more than 30 minutes ashore and it's time to return to the Egmont Marina Resort. I would not take this trip with a child as the journey is longer than the destination. One provides one's own lunch, though the boat operator provides liquids. No galley on board. The only other way to get to the Princess Louisa Inlet is by float plane. Scenery both at the inlet and en route is well worth photographing. Boat returns at about 4:30 P.M.
