One of the Best Clubs in Warsaw

Dobra Karma is a really nice club in Warsaw that might be considered a bit "underground", it's rarely visited by foreigners unless they are shown the place as it's quite out of the center and in the less than glamorous Wola region of the city. It is located in a sort of courtyard where several other pubs are located including Radio Luxemburg (which I've already reviewed).

Dobra Karma is cheap, friendly, sometimes a bit crowded and somewhere where everyone regardless of colour, hairstyle or outfit can feel very comfortable.

The club has two parts, a beer garden which is covered and heated during the winter and the club inside which isn't all that large, because of this people normally end up either standing up or sitting outside as the dance floor enlargens. The club plays reggae, jungle, ska and some early funk or soul classics. Entrance is normally 10zl but there are also numerous punk, ska and psychobilly concerts and if they are well known the price may be raised, on the other hand it is also quite often free to enter.

Dobra Karma are also well known for their cocktail making abilities and generally serve up Moquitos, Pina Colada, Sex on the Beach, Godfather, Daquiri, Margerita and many many more at a cheaper price than many other clubs. Beer (6zl - 1.25) and vodka is also pretty cheap, add to that your entrance ticket gives you a free drink usually and this means it's a pretty affordable place to go.

I actually spent New Year here, where they had a cracking party that was still completely packed at 5am and an insanely lethal home made firework display (cheap Chinese fireworks & drunk bar staff setting them off = what's that hitting me on the back of the head)

Getting there:

Of course all of this comes at a cost, as it's 20 or 30 minutes out of the centre. Perhaps only 10 or 15 if you are staying in the business district. To get there you can take bus 190 from Kino Femina or Metro Ratusz, get off at the stop called PKP Kolo (there is a petrol station by the bus stop), then cross the road to the opposite side of the petrol station, walk up a few metres and you will see the entrance to the car park.

Opening hours: 16.00 - until the last person leaves
Address: Ul. Gorczewska 67
