This is such a cute little garden - it's a great place for a stroll (which is what i did with my parents, who are very into plants and flowers) of for your kids to run wild and release some energy! It is very well maintained, and there are many different "areas" such as the Carnivorous Plants, Fern Garden, and more. Integrated into the garden are pieces of local artwork, and there is also a little store where you can buy potted plants.
Definitely check out the website for any programs or tours that are going on. When we were there, there was a tour going on with a very knowledgeable guide. Admission is free, and it's a great place to get a walk in and see nature at a leisurely pace.
There are also other trails in the surrounding area, but we didn't explore those areas.
