After lunch we went to another beach, not nearly as large as Patong Beach and probably as long as two football fields. This beach was utter bliss as it was situated away from the main cities, tucked away in the jungle. Our hike down a mountain slope was really unique for it had all the qualities of Gilligan’s Island or Tom Hanks’ Cast Away. There were the jungle sounds of screeching monkeys, birds, and little critters scurrying under the leaves. Upon arrival to the beach, the aqua blue-green lagoon greeted us with spectacular views and a reef teeming with fish. Snorkel set, flippers, and all we leaped into the water to watch the organic version of Finding Nemo. Unbelievable beauty lies under the waves--it is beyond my vocabulary.
