The first place we skied at was Park City. In Park City, the price of the ski ticket was very high! We skied there for a half day, but it was not worth the money to ski there for only a half day. If you go there, go early to get your money's worth. Also, where we were staying was a hour away. We stayed in Ogden.
The other places we skied were Powder Mountain and Snowbasin. Powder Mountain was up the road from where we stayed. That was great! The powder was great, there were no lift lines, and we paid a nice price. Going to Powder Mountain is like going to a mom-and-pop place. It is very low-key during the week. On days when there is nobody there, you had the whole mountain to yourself. That was great. The people there were nice. Also, they had great discounts for next-day skiing. The only thing about powder is the lifts – they are old and slow and there are not very many of them. Powder is not a huge mountain, but it was fun, with lots of tree skiing and groomed and ungroomed trails.
On the last day we went to Sowbasin. That was an extreme place to ski. That was about 20 minutes from our place. The lodges were out of this world!!! They were better looking then some Vegas casinos. This place is a must-see! The ticket price was okay for this type of place. There were lots of lifts and gondolas, long trails, and all types of skiing here.
