While my brother was up visiting from Maryland, he thought it would be fun to hit up a winery. One of the closed places to where my parent’s house is is a place called Channing Daughter’s Winery in Southampton, NY.

When you pull into the giant driveway and see the rows of vines spanning further than one could possibly imagine, the excitement of the fresh wine tasting really takes control. As you walk through these wooden doors, the aroma immediately penetrates your senses like a flood breaking through a dam. The tasting is free and there is no spittoon for you to get rid of the wine. They expect you to swallow and enjoy.

The cost of the tasting is completely free and never really ending. There is a plethora of different wines that are offered at different times, so whatever you’re into, they will most likely have it, and if not, go back the next day. Both whites and red are offered and occasionally a rose wine. The hosts of the tour are extremely entertaining and informative.

When you head to the Channing Daughter’s Winery, please bring either a designated driver or call for a cab because these wines are strong. Also, bring your credit cards so that you can purchase some of these phenomenal wines. Otherwise, just put your name of their mailing list and be constantly updated with their new products and their different deals.
