Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay

Finished in 2004, the Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay is not to be missed! It was designed by Santiago Calatrava, the famous Spanish architect. It is gorgeous at around 8:30pm when the lights come on. It is made of a blueish-green glass with strips of granite in between. There is a huge obelisk at one end that acts as a sundial that projects the time on a tiled garden border. The river below is rated as one of the top fly fishing areas in the country. Best of all, dogs are allowed on the bridge. Just watch out for the temperature of the glass, it can burn dog paws during the summer.
