The Palamidi fortress is a standout change of pace to the other ruins you will see in Greece. It dates from a medieval time period and the grand scale of the thing is pure wonderment. If you have the stamina, hike the 800 odd steps down the mountain to town. You must go to this fortress as the view is spectacular!!!
