This was a very large family reunion for us so the second "favorite part of the day" were the water slides. Even waiting in the longer lines, it was great to zoom down the pipes getting soaked along the way.
For some of the "non-swimming" adults, the alpine slides were the favorites. Taking the chairlift up the mountain side, you then proceeded to grab your vehicle (your plastic sled) and race down the half-pipe style slides. There is a brake in the middle to slow down when needed or to push it forward to try to increase your speed. Just don't act like a goofball and bump others in front of you. You'll end up tumbling and tending to your injuries for a lot of the day.
This aqua park is a unique experience when you keep in mind that it is built along the sides of a mountain used for skiing. Besides the several water slides and alpine slide, there is the rope swing and biking trails. The rope swing has two forms. One level lets you hang on and goes down the rope and you let go when you are over the water. The second is a rope type swing. Here, the lifeguard hands you the rope and you have to take the plunge of life. You jump, swing, and let go swinging your arms and legs in the air as you plunge to the water.
If you are an avid mountain biker, here may be your dream spot. Take the chair lift for you and your bike up the mountain. After unloading the bike from the lift, strap on your safety gear because you are about to go on a ride of your life. With the twists, turns, and jumps you race to the bottom of the mountain at speeds that will offer you such anxiety and exhilaration.
This park is such a great family place for any of the four seasons. Season passes to either the "summer" or "winter" activities are extremely reasonable.
