Description: Located in Bozeman, Montana, the Museum of the Rockies is home to the largest collection of dinosaur remains in the United States, including collection highlights like the largest T-Rex skull ever discovered, and a T-Red thigh bone that still contains soft-tissue remains. In addition to its role on the Montana Dinosaur Trail, the museum also seeks to preserve and exhibit the history of the state and the Northern Rockies. Ten acres behind the museum are home to the Tinsely House, a 100-plus year old home that now functions as a house museum. Here kids can play with contemporary toys and try on clothes of the era, and -- if you’re feeling adventurous -- any visitor can enjoy a trip to the house’s functioning outhouse.
