Excellent! Family Oriented...

This place was worth every cent that you pay in parking there..I think it was like $11 then you buy a pass for each child $5 that gives them the right to ride the carousel, get 2 bottles of milk to feed the goats, and a snowcone. We really enjoyed all the shows and had a great time. At the end when you go back to the parking lot --follow the horse shoe prints on the ground. They lead you to the Chylsdale farm area..horses trotting about and you can pay to have your picture taken with one for $8. Loved this place.

The Ultimate St. Louis Family Destination

Grant's Farm is the family home of the Anheuser Busch family. It is also the location of President Grant's cabin. The Busch family has opened their property to the public for years. There are animal tours, animal shows, and the Bauernhof, which features food and free beer, as well as the family collection of carriages, trophies, and artwork. There is also a breeding program stable of Clydesdales. A perfect family destination. Free admission!

Grant's Farm is a great attraction in St. Louis that offers a little bit of history with enough excitement to entertain the kids. Admission to the park is free, but you do have to pay $8 to park. Upon entering the park, you board a tram that takes you on a slow journey through an open field, where you will witness animals, such as deer, bison, and buffalo, in their normal habitat. You will also pass a cabin that Ulysses S. Grant took part in building himself while being told some great history lessons. About halfway through the ride, the tram will let you off at what is called Tier Garten. While in the Tier Garten, kids will have the chance to feed some billy goats with bottles. Moms go in with the little ones because the goats can get aggressive when they see those bottles. They have a variety of animals to see and offer a couple of fun, educational shows on different animals, including Bud and Mickey in the elephant education show. Once you get to the bottom of the Tier Garten, you will be in a food court and beer sampling area, where you will wait to board the tram again to head back. Make sure not to miss one of the best parts of this attraction. Across the farm, by the parking lot, are stables where they house some of the actual Clydesdales. They also have old carriages and bits of history along the way. You will be able to see some "retired" clydesdales, and for those of you who haven't seen these guys up close, this will be a treat. They are huge and beautiful.

Grant's Farm has free admission. There is a $5 fee per vehicle to park, so load up the van and head over! The tour guides on the tram through the animal preserve to the main area are wonderful and full of interesting facts about both the part and the Bush family, founders of Budweiser beer.

After you get to the main area there is a small zoo with a petting area where the kids can feed baby goats bottles of milk. The animals all appear to be healthy. The park is small, so it doesn't wear you out like the St. Louis Zoo. We try to get over here every time we are in St. Louis.
