Description
This is a museum celebrating all things teddy bears. You can see bears designed to depict Napoleon, Ghandi, and Abraham Lincoln. There are teddies showing cultures from around the world in wedding outfits.
~~ Children of all ages will be delighted to see the world's smallest and most expensive stuffed bears. They have an excellent section depicting teddy bears as famous works of art, such as the "Mona Lisa" or "The Last Supper." Outside there is an "enchanted teddy bear forest."
~~ We took our students there for a field trip, and the children aged from about 8 to 15 seemed to enjoy it very much. The museum has a well-stocked and pricey gift shop, plus an indoor cafe to enjoy a cold beverage or snack (staffed by some very hateful employees!)
~~ Be sure to bring your camera--flash photography is allowed.
