Their biggest draw are horses—and if you have children traveling with you, horses are a real find!!!!

They offer trail rides which are an hour. And cost $20 (although they do give you a discount per rider if you are in a family group or four or over). The children must be 6 years of age to ride on the trail ride. There are no double riders allowed (regardless of your experience) so if you have young children the4y will not be allowed to go if under 6.

The best news for the children under six is that there are ponies available and for a reasonable price you can take them out in their large ring areas for an hour. Adult must lead the pony around and not leave the child unattended. They do have people who will lead the ponies but call ahead of time to arrange that. But just plan in having an adult lead the pony. This is a terrific way to introduce children to riding. And a great way for the adult to spend some great time with a child! Remember to wear substantial shoes if you are going to walk the pony around!

The trail rides are just that, trail rides. They go up the ‘mountain’ on the property through various trails and come back down, depending upon the riding experience level of your group this will most likely be a 98% walk rather than any trotting, canter or gallop. The trail guides are very experienced and do an excellent job of getting groups out and back safely. They give a basic horse riding overview prior to the start of each trail ride. They take reservations, but whoever comes in at about the same time will be put in the same trail ride, so there may be 5 riders or 20.

After the rider there is a small barn/playground area which is always a hit with the kids. They also have a small animal barn with rabbits, and a donkey and some other animals. There is a small gift shop with some farm and horse items.

Marmon Valley also has a summer camp program for week long stays and a ½ day camp. They have some really great programs which can be found on their web site http://www.marmonvalley.com/
