How much do I love new country star Trent Willmon? Enough to drive from Chicago to Indianapolis to see him perform in a bar! I had previously seen him perform in a Chicago bar, but this one was so much better! I'm not sure if it was the fact that this was an actual country bar (rather than a country bar only one night a week, like in Chicago), or the fact that the crowd was really into it. It seemed like everyone knew all the words to his songs, and everyone was having the time of their lives.
Trent was amazing. He was very lively and interactive with the crowd: singing to a random girl in the crowd, sipping a beer handed to him from the front row, even letting a fan sing a line of a song! His band members were audience-friendly, too, and really enjoyed what they were doing. One of the guitar players held his guitar out while the guy next to me played (or at least, tried to play) a chord. They even handed out some free T-shirts.
The show lasted over two hours, and every song I could think of from his two CDs was played. Not only was the music great, but the scenery was too, if you know what I mean. Trent looked hot, especially when he took off his long-sleeve shirt and sported a sweaty T-shirt. As great as watching him was, I think my favorite part of the show was afterwards. Trent signs autographs for fans after every show. Afraid of a huge line forming, I made sure I was first. A huge line did form, but I'm sure he took care of everyone.
Even though so many people were waiting, Trent took the time to sign personal autographs for my girlfriend and I, and chatted with us for a minute or two. I felt very lucky, because I'm sure he was unable to spend that sort of time with all the fans. I got a CD cover signed, and my girlfriend had purchased a Trent Willmon baseball hat and got that autographed. We tried taking a picture of the three of us, but unfortunately it didn't turn out well. At least I have a picture of the three of us from last time we met him! I'm so glad we went to see the show, and I can't wait to see another one! I highly recommend that you check out his music, or even see him perform live if you can. You will not be disappointed!
