Branson Landing

If possible the best time to go in the summer is mornings and weekdays, Sunday was not bad either. The parking situation is better at the Belk end rather than the Bass Pro end, there is a structure that I have not tried yet though that is in the center of the mall. The stores are nothing special, the same stuff you will find at any mall just about with the exception of a few "Branson" stores. The water show is almost always packed, so if you want to see it you better find a spot early and sit and wait.

Other things that make the Landing more unique from other malls are the Trolley that goes from one end to the other, and I have never see it full, a clown that is near the playground doing balloon animals, the playground that is pirate themed, and the dock at Bass Pro. This has also become the night spot in Branson. Given the lack of actual bars and night clubs in town Bar Louie and Crab Shack have become the places to hang out after hours. The atmosphere is pleasant and looks a bit like an old town city street. There is actually plenty of walking space though people crowed to the edges. This is more of a tourist attraction rather than for the locals. I personally live only 35 minutes away and didn't go for the first time until well more than a year after it opened!

Branson Landing

Branson Landing is the new shopping district at downtown Branson. It's right next to the lake and is beautiful. At one end is Belk Department Store and at the other is Bass Pro Shops. In between them are many stores and restaurants. They have a trolley that takes you from one end to the other if you get tired of walking. When we went there were 45 stores open and when it is finished there will be 104 stores. Even if you don't like to shop it's worth the trip just to stroll along the street of Branson Landing. At night the lamps are lit and they change colors constantly. It's truly a sight to see. There is a fountain in the middle of Branson Landing and sort of an entertainment area. The week we were there, on Friday they were having entertainment all day with a fire and light show over the lake that night for free. We wanted to go but were at SDC.
