Orvieto is a charming community which earns most of its income from wine in the Umbria region of Italy. This town has pleanty of history, a beautiful cathedral, and the BEST gelato in Italy. There is a gelato shop across from the cathedral which has the best in the town. STOP THERE!!!!
The people here are also very friendly, and the food is delicious as well. We also had a nice experience shopping for wine and other local items, and they were priced reasonably. Although I did not taste any, everyone who did said the wine was delicious.
