Downtown Stowe is a fun place to spend an afternoon. We took the family down for lunch and ended up spending hours browsing all the shops along the way. They have a general store that sells a little of everything! They had one store with a great sandwich shop and a bookstore. The real treat was going downstairs where they had literally hundreds of interesting things from kitchen gadgets to the ever popular souvenier T-shirts. I spent over an hour browsing and picking up great things I had never seen before. I could have easily spent another hour but my husband and kids wanted to press on. I'll definitely be visiting that store on our next visit!

There are also some great antique and handmade furniture stores that have one of a kind items. All in all, Stowe is a great place to spend an afternoon if you love shopping!
