Arenal Volcano

In my opinion, our experiences in the Arenal area were one of the best of our vacation. We have documented this under the Tabacon entry of the journal. I really wished we had stayed longer, and if we had, I would have done the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge tour, which came highly recommended, as well as the day tour to Monteverde.
Actually seeing any volcanic activity is hit-or-miss. We saw nothing during the day, since the volcano was socked in by clouds, but we did see activity at night when we went on the Hanging Bridges night tour. We didn't visit La Fortuna, but some have mentioned that it is an interesting side trip.
