Great Art, Super Island, Great Seafood! A Must for Everyone
The Spring Arts Fetival in Cedar Key is a real gem. The Festival isn't so large that you're exhausted at the end of the day. The arts and crafts are of high quality. The food - lots of it seafood - is great. Walking the street of this island city is like doing time travel - back to the '50's! No high-rises, no franchises. But best of all, the people are the friendlist in the world! You can even bring the family, because there are things for the kids to participate in, also. Had a wonderful day. Really worth the trip.

Every year in mid-April, the tiny population of Cedar Key swells with pride and excitement for the Arts Festival. The many local artists flood the galleries, and other artists bring their wares to a myriad of booths set up on the main streets of downtown. Come prepared to walk, as you won't get near Dock Street with a car. The atmosphere is fun and festive, and the artwork ranges from gallery quality to just fun and funky.
