Green Island

This is yet another island from the Great Barrier Reef. The island is very tropical, and of course the water is again full of colourful fish. I was also lucky enough to spot a small, 1m or 3-foot, reef shark. It swam away quite fast when it saw me coming. Maybe I didn't shave that day. You can take a boat trip to this reef island from Cairns' harbour. It will cost about A$65 for a 1-day trip, including lunch and snorkelling gear. The company that we used was called Big Cat Cruises. The boat was alright and the fish barbecue lunch was excellent. At the end of the trip they were feeding the reef fish. At this time we saw different sharks, big discus fish, etc.
