Description
Nara is famous for art works, particular to the region, employing traditional techniques going back for a millennium. In this authentic row house setting are demonstrations of contemporary craftsmen working using time honored skills. Included in exhibits are: tea ceremony accouterments (oshio keitan), pottery, masks for both Noh and Kyogen, and various wood carvings. For an overview of Nara's omiyage, this is an interesting stop.
