Mayor's Walking Tours

Most of the major sights in Bath can be taken in with this short circuit of the city. The tour lasted about an hour and worked quickly through the area. The local leading the tour was interesting to listen to and the group was fun. The outskirts of the city are set up on a hill and there is some climbing involved, but it is certainly manageable.

Each day during the 'season', and on weekends other times, dedicated locals give a guided walking tour of the area that includes a history of the Baths, the Costume Museum, the Circus, The Royal Crescent and more. It does take a couple hours, but it is well worth it. You will learn a great deal about this city from people who truly love it ... and they will point you to other sights that are NOT on the tour that you can investigate on your own afterwards.
