We enjoyed some delicious beef and beer at a restaurant that had tables outside from which we could continue to watch the horse-riding event. Overall, a great day!

How could I forget the food! Wonderful scents wafting from all directions. I recommend the empanadas. I understand the market is open every weekend, we got lucky with the other cultural offerings because it was Flag Day. Check with a local as Argentina has numerous national holidays and you too may get lucky.
On our way back into the city we stumbled across another gathering in a park. Lots of market stalls again, selling local arts and crafts, candy etc. and a show by some street performers who knew just enough English to pick on us tourists and confuse us. Great fun all around.
