Description
Held on May 22, the Feast of the Drunken Dragon might seem to many, and especially to the cynical few, just another excuse for a booze up. Drunken dragons? What are you talking about? Actually, this is a great festival, free-spirited and roaring with energy. The procession starts at the Kwan Tai Temple when a group of inebriated fishermen stagger down the streets brandishing wooden dragons' heads and bodies. Some say the festival celebrates fertility, though there is nothing fertile about a boatload of inebriated fishermen.
