The Eiffel Tower Experience

This is one of the best ways to see Las Vegas, especially at dusk and the back drop for all of your photos can be the sun setting over desert foot hills that surround Las Vegas.

From the top of the Eiffel Tower, you are given a 360 degree view of the City below. We got some of our most awesome pictures of the strip from this view. We were also able to view the Fountain Show at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino from the top of tower. This is the best way to see the show. You can still hear the music faintly and able to see how high the water shots up at some points during the show.

You are given an unlimited amount of time to spend at the top of the tower, so be patient and you will be able to photograph everything that you want to!

TIP: If you get the Total Rewards card from any of the associate casinos (Ballys, Paris, Caesars, Flamingo, Harrah's), you will receive a coupon to get 2 for 1 admission to the Eiffel Tower!

The Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas

Accordion music, fountains, and a cheery greeting of “Bonjour” from the hotel staff and you have to be in Paris! Or do you?! Well, you could also be in the Paris Hotel Las Vegas and, of course, you can’t have Paris without having the Eiffel Tower.

The Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas is not quite as tall as the original—in fact, it is exactly half the size—but it has been reproduced with a superb eye for detail. An elevator whisks you to the observation deck, 460 feet above the Strip. The lift attendant was extremely friendly and informative. I can’t remember exactly how much he told us it cost to build the tower but it was in the millions of dollars range. However he also told us that they had recouped all the building costs within about 6 months of opening.

The views across Las Vegas are fantastic, taking in a 360 degree panorama that includes the Strip, the city, and the mountains in the distance. In the evening it also allows wonderful views across to the Bellagio fountain display.

The observation deck is quite small (holding about 30 to 40 people at a time) so you may have to queue to get in and, needless to say, it is not for those at all nervous of heights.

Eiffel Tower Experience

Built at 1/2 scale, this is a fun campy experience, more so for those who have never been to the real one. If nothing else, go for the great view.

Our visit was enhanced by the fact that we had a two for one admission coupon from the Total Rewards program I signed up for Bally's. Admission is usually $9 per person. Admission tickets are purchased in the gift shop under the tower (inside the casino).

Be forewarned that on the way to the elevator, you will be accosted on a replica of the Pont Alexandre III (pont is French for bridge) in order to get you to pose for a photo you can purchase after your visit. IMO, tacky tourist thing to do. Politey say no and move towards the elevator.

The ride to the top is in a very cramped triangular shaped elevator. Once out on the upper level, you'll have a stunning, panoramic view of the valley, from 460 feet above the ground. As I looked at the Bellagio across the street, I thought this would be a prime spot for watching the water show.

The platform is very narrow and caged in. The staff control how many people can be on the observation deck at any one time, but it can be cramped at times.

While we were waiting in the ticket line, we took note that there were two very chicly dressed French ladies standing behind us. My husband speaks very strong French so their presence made for an interesting moment. Once up top, my husband clearly heard one of the women remark that she "disdained" the Vegas version of her homeland's famous landmark. I can hardly blame her, though it made me wonder why she came up at all. If you have ever been to the real Eiffel Tower in Paris, nothing can compare.

The Eiffel Tower Experience is open daily, weather permitting. If high winds are present, it is closed. The procedure is to start evacuating visitors when winds reach 30-35 mph (the elevators even slow down for safety) and closing the tower when wind speeds reach 40mph.

The Eiffel Tower Restaurant on the 11th floor of the tower. We did not dine there. I suspect it is meant to imitate the Jules Verne Restaurant in the Paris Eiffel Tower. My bet is the food isn't as good.

Make sure you take photos of the tower from the outside. The best spot I found was the walkway over Las Vegas Blvd leading to the Flamingo. Day time photos are ok, night time ones with the tower glittering in lights is simply gorgeous!

Eiffel Tower Experience

Who needs to fly across the ocean to see the Eiffel tower? Just come on over to Vegas and you can take in the experience while getting a chance to gamble too! Paris Las Vegas boasts a large Eiffel Tower that is very true to life. It is an amazing and beautiful structure.

Inside, there are tons of places to eat, a big gambling area, and great shops. The crepes I had here were wonderful and I seriously felt like I was back in France!

If you're looking to stay at the hotel, the website is a great place to get great deals for stays!

On our second day to Vegas, my friends and I decided it would be quite a unique experience to take a lift on the Eiffel Tower Experience. The idea of going all the way to the top of this building and getting a great overview of Vegas at night sounded amazing. Once we arrived, though, we were shocked to discover it costs money! It costs $7 per adult and $5 for children under 10. Still, we decided to take the ride and we went up. The view was amazing; it was simply breathtaking. Seeing all the lights, buildings, and even all the people walking around was really amazing. Sadly, though, the "ride" ended quickly, and despite the wonderful view, we all felt a little ripped off.
